Jiribam BLOs trained on poll process

Jiribam, July 14 2025:
Under the supervision of deputy commissioner/district election officer (DEO) Krishna Kumar a comprehensive training programme for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in-charge was held on Monday at the DC's conference hall as a component of the National Training Programme (NTP) on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The training aimed at reinforcing the Election Commission's directives for error-free electoral rolls, was attended by Jiribam ERO/SDO Laishram Tarajeet Singh, ALMTs/SDCs Moirangthem Devananda and Atom Bijendro Singh, AERO Abdul Kalam, ACP Prasanta Ahongshangbam and other election officials.
Welcoming the newly appointed BLOs of Jiribam assembly constituency, DC Krishna Kumar emphasised the crucial role of BLOs in ensuring the smooth conduct of elections.
He highlighted the commission's focus on capacity building of election machinery, particularly in the last mile delivery of services.
The training programme aims to equip BLOs with the necessary knowledge and skills to execute the SIR 2025 effectively, in compliance with the guidelines laid down by the Election Commission.
Krishna Kumar further advised the BLOs to adhere to the guidelines to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the electoral rolls.
