MIOS launches skill development programmes

Imphal, August 11 2025: Manipur Institute of Open Schooling (MIOS), Kakwa, has launched vocational skill development training programmes aimed at empowering underprivileged youth and school drop-outs across the state.

A release issued by MIOS informed that the inaugural ceremony held on August 6 at Kakwa Leiphrakpam Leikai was attended by Education (S) joint director Tikendrajit Nepram, SBI, Imphal West and Thoubal LDM Dr Meitram Uttam Lu wang, PNB, Imphal East LDM Ravi Kangotra, social scientist Dhanabir Laishram and MIOS director Salam Nabachandra.

The programmes are aligned with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Skill India mission through Sector Skill Councils (SSC) .
