2 PREPAK-Pro cadres held; arms recovered

Imphal, July 06 2025: Security forces apprehended two cadres of the outlawed PREPAK-Pro from different places on Saturday.

According to a statement of Manipur Police Control Room, security forces rounded up one Maibam Sania Devi (19) of Salungpham bazar, a PREPAK-Pro cadre, on Saturday and recovered a mobile phone with one SIM card from her possession.

Security forces nabbed the second PREPAK-Pro cadre identified as Laishram Romesh Meitei alias Punshiba (39) of Napat Mayai Leikai in Bishnupur district, from Nagamapal area on July 4.One mobile phone with SIM card, Rs 290 cash and an Aadhaar card have been recovered from his possession.

The statement further said that security forces recovered four 12 bore rifles, six 12 bore country-made rifles, two muzzle loading rifles, five Pompi with five shells, four IEDs and four hand grenades from different places of Chandel district on July 4 .
