Assam Rifles organises trek to Mount Isii

Senapati, May 05 2025: In a display of national unity, environmental stewardship, and spirit of adventure, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with noted young mountaineer Bhukya Yashwanth, successfully organised a trek to Mount Isii, the highest peak of Manipur, under the campaign 'Har Shikhar Thanga' .

The expedition conducted on May 4 culminated with unfurling of the National Flag at the summit.

A total of 77 participants, including AR personnel, local youth, and amateur hikers took part in the trek.

The presence of Bhukya Yashwanth, a mountaineer with aspirations to summit Mount Everest, was an inspiration to young participants to pursue their dreams.

A clean-up drive was also conducted at the summit, reinforcing values of environmental responsibility and civic duty.
