DISHA meeting for Kamjong held in Imphal

Kamjong, July 15 2025: The first quarterly meeting of DISHA for Kamjong district was held at Classic Grande, Imphal, on Tuesday.

Outer MP Alfred Kangam Arthur chaired the review meeting in the presence of Phungyar (ST) assembly constituency MLA Leishiyo Keishing, Kamjong DC Rangnamei Rang Peter, DLOs, SDOs and SDCs.

MP Alfred, while reviewing the report of various departments, stressed the importance of implementing policies as specified by the departments concerned.

He expressed that the ministry concerned will intervene if deemed necessary and called upon the department authorities to coordinate and supplement wherever there is gap in the district developmental process.

Altogether 31 departments, including Health, PMGSY, PWD, Education, MSPDCL, MSPCL, CAF&PD, NHIDCL, DIC, Social Welfare, MSLRM, Forest, etc., presented developmental reports.

It may be noted that District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) is a government initiative aimed at improving coordination among elected representatives and ensuring efficient, time-bound developmental the district level.

It facilitates a quarterly review of all development activities within the district, with the goal of promoting participative governance and deliberative democracy.
