'STOP Diarrhoea Campaign' launched in Thoubal

Thoubal, July 14 2025: The "STOP Diarrhoea Campaign," a public health initiative of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, which began on June 14 and continue till July 30, was launched by Thoubal DC Hannah Kamei, here, on Monday.

During the launch programme, DC Hannah Kamei appealed to all stakeholders to work collectively for the success of the campaign and to protect children from diarrhoeal diseases.

As part of the campaign, ORS-Zinc Corners will be set up at all health centres across the district to provide Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) to 30,294 children under the age of five.

The launch of the campaign organised by the District Health Society, Thoubal at the DC's conference hall was also attended by Thoubal CMO Dr Y Nokul, district hospital medical superintendent Dr W Ruhinikumar, ZEO Y Achouba, ICDS, Thoubal DPO Th Ro-mita, Thoubal DPM Ch Basanta and staff of the district health.
