KMC honours workers with gifts

Kakching, May 02 2025: In connection with the observance of International Labour Day, Kakching Municipal Council (KMC) on Friday honoured sanitary workers and others proactively involved in keeping Kakching town spic and span.

The programme organised by KMC at its conference hall was attended by caretaker chairperson Naorem Sanjitkumar, senior chief executive officer Laishram Romesh and executive engineer Naorem Ramchandra as the dignitaries on dais.

Caretaker councillors including Mayanglambam Memcha Devi, Mayanglambam Uma Devi, Ningthoujam Memi Devi, Pukhrambam Sanahal Devi, Nongmaithem Narjit, Sandham Premita Devi, Moirangthem Inakhunbi Devi, Kshetrimayum Radhamani Devi, council staffers and sanitary workers also attended the programme.

Sanitary workers and others were honoured with simple gifts followed by observance of two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed sanitary workers.
