MDAHCEO petitions Guv to release pending amount

Imphal, June 30 2025: Mapithel Dam Affected Headmen, Chiefs & elders Organisation (MDAHCEO) submitted a memorandum to Manipur Governor to pay the pending undisputed outstanding Economic Livelihood Packages as per Memorandum of Agreement signed between the government and affected parties in December 4, 2020 .

The memorandum further reminded that the MOA included payment of another Rs 1,50,000 lakh each to the affected families during the year 2021 .

It stated that the payment is pending till date.

It pointed out that the affected people have been living hand to mouth in safer resettlement areas since June 2015, having constructed temporary shelters made of bamboo and thatch after being displaced.

The memorandum reiterated the appeal for payment of payable pending packages as per memorandum of agreement.
