Jiribam, June 29 2025: Relief Management Committee, which was formed to oversee condition of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) staying in relief camps in Jiribam district, has been reformed as Relief Monitoring Committee.

Addressing the media on Sunday, convener N Chinglem ba Khuman informed that the Relief Management Committee has been rechristened Relief Monitoring Committee after consultation with the IDPs, to expand the works of the Committee.

He also stated that a memorandum detailing grievances of the IDPs residing in relief camps including education and healthcare will soon be submitted to authority concerned.

Chinglemba further said that the new 19- member committee will be led by O Priyobala Devi as chairperson along with Y Budhi as convener, H Chandra Singh and H Rajesh as co-conveners, Y Sanjoy as treasurer, A Kananmala as publicity secretary and N Nirmala as organisation secretary, among others.
