Imphal, May 28 2025: The Eco-club and NSS units of Oriental College organised a one-day college level symposium competition on the UN theme of World Environment Day 2025, "Ending Plastic Pollution Globally", at the conference hall of the College on Wednesday.

According to a press release by Eco-club convenor Rajkumar Imosana Singh, the competition was organised in connection with World Environment Day 2025, set to be observed on June 5.The competition was inaugurated by College principal Dr S Ranjit Singh as chief guest, with dean of Arts Dr G Ranita Devi, dean of Science L Wormila Hungyo, and Department of Botany head Dr Y Pramoda Devi as guests of honour.

The keynote address was given by Environmental Science assistant professor Dr K Binita Devi, the release conveyed.
