Troops and locals jointly explored the art of photography, capturing the serene landscapes, candid village life and moments of camaraderie that define the spirit of Sehlon.
Group photographs, spontaneous portraits and nature shots reflected not only technical skill but also the shared joy of storytelling through images, said the PRO, adding that as a part of the event a photography workshop was conducted by an Assam Rifles photographer for 16 local youths aged 8 to 14 .
The session encouraged the participants to view photography not just as a hobby, but as a powerful tool for preserving heritage, expressing identity and fostering unity.
Throughout the programme, Assam Rifles representatives emphasised that photography transcends aesthetics - it serves as a medium to document lived experiences, celebrate diversity, and build bridges across communities.
By involving villagers in this creative pursuit, the Force reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing positive engagement and cultural appreciation in remote areas, the PRO stated.
