Thoubal, July 15 2025: In collaboration with Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Tentha Gram Panchayat organised plastic bottle bank distribution-cum-awareness programme for self-help groups (SHGs) at Tentha Multiplex on Tuesday.

The programme held under the theme 'Tentha GP towards a Model GP', was attended by Directorate of Environment and Climate Change programme officer Md Habibullah, Wangjing Tentha CD Block DEO Chingkhei, Tentha GP Administrative Committee chairperson Moirangthem Subol and Tentha GP panchayat secretary S Premananda as presidium members.

As a part of the programme, plastic bottle banks were distributed to 17 SHGs under six village level federations (VLFs) of Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), Thoubal as resource persons elaborated on the detrimental effect of plastic bottles on the environment.

The event was also attended by members of MSRLM, Tentha GP, SHGs and officials Directorate of Environment and Climate Change.
