MOA team calls on Governor

Imphal, May 15 2025: A team of Manipur Olympic Association (MOA) called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan here today.

During the meeting, issues were raised regarding upgradation of two facilities - velodrome .

and fencing court in Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, as these facilities may be used for the upcoming 39th National Games scheduled to be held in 2027 as requested by the Meghalaya State Olympic Association.

Notably, Meghalaya would be hosting the 39th National Games.

The Governor directed Secretary, YAS, N Praveen Singh, who was also present during the meeting to expedite ways for upgrading the existing facilities to ensure timely completion and be ready for the mega sporting event.

Later, representatives of Mao Catholic Association also called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan and sought his support in advancing initiatives for the welfare of the community, said a press release issued by the Governor's Secretariat.
