Two ex-cadres return to ZUF fold

Imphal, June 30 2025: Welcoming the return of two members of the organisation who defected to other factions, the armed Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) said that more misguided individuals realising the importance of the Zeliangrong political movement are returning to the Front's fold.

According to a ZUF statement, NSCN-U advisor member Azua Pame, son of late Leitung, and NSCN-R 2nd Lt Saijanglung Kamei, son of Mathiukhin Kamei, re-joined the ZUF upon realising the political rights and unity of the Zeliangrong community.

The statement issued by information and publicity secretary also informed that Azua Pame had earlier defected from ZUF to join the faction led by S Kamson (NSCN-U), while Saijanglung Kamei joined NSCN-R."The return of the two former cadres reflects a deep sense of realisation and responsibilities towards the collective vision and political rights of the Zeliangrong community," it added.
