Seminar on trans-disciplinary research begins

Imphal, June 29 2025:
A two-day national seminar on "Trans disciplinary Research with Statistical Application", jointly organised by the Department of Statistics and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Dhanamanjuri University in connection with National Statistics Day-2025, was inaugurated at the conference hall of the New Science Block on Sunday.
The inaugural function was presided over by DM College of Science principal Prof Ksh Birbal Singh with DMU VC Prof Chandbabu Singh as chief guest, and Directorate of Census Operations joint director Dr N Roshini Kumar Singh and DMU IQAC director Prof RK London Singh as guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Seminar Organising Committee convenor N Sarat Singh highlighted that with the implementation of NEP 2020, the field of research has become complex and scientists and researchers are focussing on transdisciplinary research, in collaboration with Other disciplines and stakeholders at community level.
Thus, he urged fellow scientists and researchers to continue focussing on trans-disciplinary research and help India attain all the 17 SDGs of UN .
