NHRC calls entries for short film competition

Imphal, June 27 2025:
National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India, has announced the 11th edition of its annual short film competition on Human Rights for the year 2025 .
The competition open to all citizens of India, irrespective of age, seeks to promote awareness and sensitivity on human rights issues through the medium of short films.
The NHRC invites entries in Hindi or any Indian language (with English subtitles) or in English.
The duration of the films must range between 3 to 10 minutes.
Participants are required to submit their entries online via Google Drive to the email nhrcshortfilm@gmail.
com within August 31, 2025 .
The prize money for the first, second and third best film will be Rs 2 lakh, Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 1 lakh respectively.
In addition, up to four films may be awarded 'Certificates of Special Mention' along with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 each, based on the Jury's recommendation.
