Meritorious students of Ngaikhong felicitated

Bishnupur, July 21 2025: A felicitation programme was held on Monday at Ngaikhong Khullen Lai Haraopham community hall to honour students of Ngaikhong area who excelled in this year's Class X and XII examinations conducted by BOSEM, COHSEM, and CBSE.

Ten students each from Ngaikhong Khullen and Ngaikhong Siphai were awarded cash prizes and certificates during the event jointly organised by Ngaikhong Khullen Tomthin Village Level federation (VLF) and Ngaikhong Siphai Chaokhat Maion VLF, in collaboration with Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission under Nambol Community Development Block.

Delivering the keynote address, Wangkhei Phee SelfHelp Group (SHG) member L Sandyarani Devi informed that there are currently 36 SHGs under Ngaikhong Khullen Gram Panchayat actively involved in conduct of awareness campaigns and participation in various rural and local development programmes.

She further noted that the SHGs have received Rs 36 lakh as community investment and an additional Rs 53 lakh in loans, significantly contrib uting to the economic empowerment of women in the village.

Sandyarani informed that Tomthin and Chaokhat Maion VLFs are working diligently toward the development of Ngaikhong Khullen Gram Panchayat.

The function was also attended by Ngaikhong Khullen Gram Panchayat Administrative Committee chairperson M Bala Devi, Tomthin VLF president N Indira Devi, Chaokhat Maion VLF vice president Th Lata Devi, retired teacher M Kunjahari and Nambol CD Block in-charge Ksh Avijit as the presidium members.
