Training of fish farmers begins at Kumbi

Imphal, July 14 2025: A 10-day training programme for fish farmers organised by All Manipur United Fish Farmers' Association (AMUFFA) in coordination with Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Takyel Industrial Estate under the aegis of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) commenced from Monday at Kumbi Lai Sandong in Bishnupur district.

The opening session of the training programme on Monday was attended by RSETI director Yumkhaibam Deben Singh, AMUFFA president Mayengbam Bimolchand Luwang, AMUCO vice president Dr Norendro Thokchom and AMUCO assistant secretary (organisation) Th Shantikumar.

Around 35 fish farmers are taking part in the training programme focusing mainly on how to manage fish farms for ample and profitable fish production, controlling diseases common to fishes and ways to maintain freshness of farm water.
