Mega assessment camp for CWSN concludes

The two-day mega identification and assessment camp for Children with Special Needs (CWSN), aged between 6 and 18 years, under Tengnoupal district concluded at Moreh Higher Secondary School on Monday.
The camp, organised in connection with the 5th anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, was conducted by the District Project Officer, Samagra Shiksha/Zonal Education Officer, Tengnoupal in collaboration with the Composite Regional Centre (CRC) Imphal, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) of District Health Society, District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC), Tengnoupal and Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), Regional Marketing Centre, Guwahati.
Held under the Intervention of Integrated Education for Disabled Children (IED) and Inclusive Educatioh for Disabled at Secondary Stage (IEDSS), the camp was organised at Khangshim Village K Koshang Memorial community hall on August 9, followed by the concluding session at Moreh Higher Secondary School.
During the Moreh camp, 103 CWSNs were assessed, including 2 with hearing impairment, 10 with intellectual disabilities, 4 with multiple disorders, 4 with locomotor disabilities, 2 with low vision and 1 with cerebral palsy.
Assistive aids and devices were distributed to the children by zonal education officer Shokhulun Baite.
