Imphal, June 30 2025: JNIMS nursing officer Leimapokpam Ranjita, who was awarded the prestigious National Florence Ninght-ingale Award-2025, was felicitated during a function organised by Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI), Manipur State Branch at its Uripok Khumanthem Leikai office, here, on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion as a presidium member, TNAI (North East Region) vice president professor Th Nandarani informed that the health ministry conferred the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award on Leimapokpam Ranjita in recognition of her contributions to nursing in the fields of education, clinical care and community service.

According to Nandarani, the felicitation function was organised to honour her achievements and to express collective pride and encouragement.

She acknowledged Ranjita as a highly dedicated and efficient nursing officer who performs her duties with utmost commitment, stating that during the kidney transplantation procedures at JNIMS, she provided exemplary nursing care.

The function was also attended by Manipur Nursing Council registrar Dr A Jamuna and Medical Directorate deputy director (nursing) Th Sunita as presidium members.
