Imphal, September 25 2025: A five-day training on basic drone knowledge concluded at the campus of National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), Akampat, Imphal East today.

The training programme was jointly organised by NIELIT and Seva Bharati Manipur.

The valedictory event was attended by Ngasepam Anita Devi, Senior Private Secretary, NIELIT Imphal; Th Chittaranjan Singh, Technical Officer; Dr Salam Dilan Singh, Senior Regional Director, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Laishram Jatra Singh, Senior Pracharak, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and State Executive Member of RSS Manipur Prant as the presidium members, according to a statement.

On the occasion, Ngasepam Anita stated that NIELIT, Imphal offers many short term courses including a 6 month diploma course where students can learn more in-depth about drones.

Saying that the institution also offers MSc courses, she urged the youth to take advantage of the available courses.

Meanwhile Th Chittaranjan Singh offered encouragement and received feedback from the trainee students who took part in the programme.

Laishram Jatra Singh assured that Seva Bharati Manipur and NIELIT Imphal will launch more job-oriented training programmes in the interest of the unemployed youth in the State.
