RNSOM urges

The Rongmei Naga Students' Organisation, Manipur (RNSOM) has written to Education Minister Th Basantakumar with an appeal to construct a disaster resilient building for Nagaching Government Primary School (TADC) at Abungchiang Part-II in Noney.
In a letter, RNSOM said that the ferocious wind which swept through Manipur yesterday devastated Nagaching Government Primary School.
Saying that the unforeseen disaster has severely disrupted academic activities of the school, the Organisation appealed to the Minister to arrange an alternative school building and provide makeshift classrooms or utilise the nearby community halls or buildings as immediate measures.
As a permanent solution, RNSOM also appealed to the Minister to construct a disaster resilient school building for Nagaching Government Primary School in Noney and ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
Requesting prompt intervention of the Education Minister to minimise educational disruption, RNSOM said that effective coordination between the Education Department and the Minister is crucial to address the issue.
