Scindia, Bhalla, review projects

Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla today cochaired a review meeting with Union Minister of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jyotiraditya M Scindia to take stock of various development projects being carried out under the Ministry.
The review meeting held at Raj Bhavan, Imphal was attended virtually by the Union Minister, who shared his observations during the session.
Chief Secretary PK Singh, made a presentation on the ongoing DoNER projects and associated challenges, said a press release issued by the Governor's Secretariat.
Based on the discussions held during the previous meeting on April 17, 2025, several priority areas were revisited.
These included handloom, handicrafts, and textiles; promotion of Polo; tourism development; transport and connectivity improvements; palm oil cultivation under the NMEO-OP; logistics strengthening; investment promotion in Manipur; development of vibrant villages, monitoring of PMO-priority projects; and the completion of distressed projects under DoNER and the North Eastern Council (NEC).
Following the presentation, DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia offered feedbacks on each point, encouraging State officials to expedite the ongoing projects.
Jyotiraditya Scindia also took stock of investment opportunities emerging from the Rising North East Investors Summit, and reiterated the Centre's commitment to ensuring their effective implementation and grounding of proposals.
With sustained collaboration between the Centre and the State, Manipur is poised for transformative growth driven by purpose, partnership and progress.
The Governor directed all officials concerned to accelerate implementation efforts and to remain focused on achieving tangible outcomes.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary to the Governor, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF), senior administrative Secretaries, and officials from the North Eastern Council, who joined via video conference.
