LSTB members sworn in

Imphal, May 11 2026:
Set to serve for a five-year term, the newly appointed members of the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) were formally sworn in today at Haying Khongbal Uphong Yumpham, Imphal.
On May 4, the Department of Municipal Administration, Housing and Urban Development (MAHUD) had issued an order reconstituting the LSTB with 11 members and Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand as the president.
The oath was administered by Maibarel Maisnam Iboba alias Amuba Luwang.
Being out of State, Yumnam Khemchand was unable to attend the swearing in ceremony.
A separate ceremony will be held for him at a suitable date after his return.
The newly sworn in members of the LSTB include vice president Keirao AC MLA Lourembam Rameshwor, vice president Chanam Nabachandra Meitei, member secretary Sandham Gandharaj and members Potsangbam Tomba, Konthoujam Nanda, Thangjam Sanjoy, Ngangom Surchandra Meitei, Koijam Shanjoy and Khangembam Tomba.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Lourembam Rameshwor said this marks his second term serving as the vice-president of LSTB .
The Board will work with dedication to promote the Sanamahi faith and Meitei art and culture in consultation with the concerned Loishangs.
LSTB will also focus its efforts on translating Manipuri Puyas in English and Hindi, he added.
