Diabetes detection camp, farewell prog held

Bishnupur, August 17 2025: A diabetes detection camp for residents under Bishnupur assembly constituency, who are above the age of 60 years, was organised by Senior Citizens for Society Bishnupur in association with Ascent Diagnostics, Imphal at Ibudhou Yangoiningthou community hall, Bishnupur bazar on Sunday.

Speaking at the event, Senior Citizens for Society assistant secretary M Bilkee informed the camp not only included diabetes screening but also examination of blood pressure and tests for liver, kidney, and stomach-related ailments.

Meanwhile, District Bar Association, Bishnupur, on Sunday organised a combined farewell and felicitation programme at the Bishnupur District and Sessions Judge Court complex.

The event bid farewell to outgoing district and sessions Judge N Kirtichand,' who has been transferred as judicial secretary of the Law Department, and also felicitated Samom Bijen, the newly appointed district and sessions judge of Bishnupur.

The function was attended by JM first class Rajshree Yambem, Bar Association Bishnupur president W Lata, chief counselling Y Ramananda and Bar Association former president and Royal Academy of Law Oinam former president I Jugeshwor, lawyers and practitioners.
