Free eye screening camp conducted

Imphal, May 16 2025: Shija Eye Care Foundation in association with NPCB (NHM) and ShijaCity Dental Hospital jointly organised a comprehensive eye camp at ShijaCity Dental Hospital on Thursday.

As per a release by Shija Hospitals & Research Institute deputy manager-business development Thokchom Denish Singh, 127 patients were examined for eye related problems, out which 21 cataract, 17 pterygium and nine other patients were referred to the base hospital for further examination.

Doctor along with other supporting staff of Shija Eye Care Foundation examined the patients.

Those patients detected with eye related problems will be treated under PM-JAY and NPCB Scheme, it said.
