Cleanliness drive organised at RIMS

Imphal, December 14 2024: Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, organised a cleanliness drive initiative under the Swachhta Action Plan for the year 2024-25 in the surroundings of RIMS, Imphal A-Block, Pathology Department, Anatomy Department, Jubilee Hall, and Ladies Hostel No 3 on Saturday.

In a release, RIMS PRO informed that the drive aimed not only to enhance the cleanliness of the campus but also to foster a sense of responsibility among participants towards environmental conservation and public health.

Under the leadership and vision of RIMS director professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma, the initiative also focused on making RIMS campus a plastic-free zone and one of the cleanest institutions in the state, it added.

The drive was participated by staff and members of Campus Research and Environmental Department (CRED) of the institution.

Activities including cleaning drives, waste collection, and awareness campaigns were organised focusing on the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment on campus, added the release.
