Imphal, June 06 2025: A memorial bust of constable (gen eral duty) Peace Hungyo of 55 Bn CRPF, who laid down his life in the service of the nation-on June 6, 1996, has been unveiled at his native place Bungpa Khunou village in Kamjong district on Friday.

Among others, the solemn installation and dedication programme was attended by Yuimung Hungyo, son and only surviving family member of 'Shaheed' Peace Hungyo, close relatives, local dignitaries and villagers.

Those gathered paid rich tributes to the fallen hero, highlighting his dedication and supreme sacrifice for the nation.

The unveiling of the bust was followed by wreath laying ceremony and floral tributes, interactions with the martyr's family and relatives, and presentation of gift to Peace's son as a token of love and gratitude.
