Noney, May 22 2025: A lecture programme on 'Effects of Insurgency in Manipur' was conducted on Wednesday at Khangsinglting Higher Secondary School, Gaidimjang, in Noney district in connection with observance of National Anti-Terrorism Day.

The lecture aimed at raising awareness about the threats posed by insurgency, highlight its devastating impact on society, and promote peace and harmony in the region, was attended by 80 students.

Speakers also addressed the historical background on observance of Anti-Terrorism Day, root causes of insurgency in Manipur, the current situation in the state and measures being taken by the security forces to combat insurgency.

The event culminated with an interactive Q&A session.
