Indian Army observes World Humanitarian Day

Imphal, August 19 2025:
On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, the Indian Army on Tuesday conducted a series of health initiatives across Manipur.
At Saiton Awang Leikai relief camp in Bishnupur district, a health awareness drive was organised to educate displaced families on hygiene, nutrition, first-aid, common illnesses and the importance of vaccination.
Special emphasis was laid on children's health through dedicated paediatric checkups, growth assessment and distribution of essential medicines.
In T Kananphai, Churachandpur district, the Army organised a medical camp wherein over 300 residents benefitted from free con saltations, treatment and supply of medicines.
Simul taneously, at Khoirentak Khuman village, more than 100 residents from nearby villages including S Lonphai, Khousabung, Bunglon, Ningthiching, New Ningthiching, L Phainom and Kangathei availed medical consultations, health checkups and awareness sessions.
Essential medicines were distributed and preventive healthcare practices were shared with the villagers.
