MLA Rameshwar vows facelift of Kakching AC

Kakching, July 18 2025:
As part of his ongoing initiative to construct and repair roads in the Kakching assembly constituency using the paver block technology, MLA M Rameshwar inaugurated another newly repaired stretch at Sumak Leikai Leirak Achouba Pareng on Friday.
Speaking to reporters at the event, Rameshwar assured to contribute his mite in transforming Kakching into the most developed constituency in the entire country, provided people of the constituency place their full trust and continue to support him.
Stating that development works cannot be completed at once and has to be executed in phases, the MLA appealed to the people of Kakching to be patient and understanding.
He assured that areas left out in the initial phases would be taken up on a priority basis.
The MLA further informed that repair of all major roads in Kakching using the paver block technology has already begun.
With repairing of most of the major roads now completed, focus will be on improving health and water infrastructure, he said, while urging the public to make use of various government welfare schemes, including health cards, old age pension cards, and widow cards.
As part of his visit, the MLA along with officials also inspected the ongoing development of the football ground of the District Sports Association (DSA), Kakching, which is being undertaken with funding under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) 2023-2024 .
He instructed the Manipur Police Housing Corporation Limited and the contractor responsible for the project to complete the work within the stipulated timeframe.
MLA Rameshwar also visited several relief camps in Kakching Sumak Leikai, includ ing the Kalyan Ashram Relief Camp, Yumbi Macha High School Relief Camp and Indoor Stadium Relief Camp, where he interacted with the IDPs .
