COCOMI team meets Jiribam DC & SP

Imphal, July 13 2024: A team of Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) led by its convenor Joychandra Konthoujam met the Deputy Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police of Jiribam on Saturday, and discussed restoration of normalcy in the district.

In this regard, COCOMI said that it is the responsibility of everyone to safeguard Jiribam, which is the western gate of the state.

It would urge the authority concerned to prevail upon the departments present in the district headquarters to take up responsibility for providing edibles, clothes and medicines to the relief camps.

The Committee then remarked that the non-joining of those posted in Jiribam even after notification of the transfer-posting order is simply disrespecting the government and as such, the government should take strict action.
