Imphal, March 11 2025: Under its Operation Sadbhavana, Assam Rifles on Sunday handed over a newly constructed shed to villagers of Kangpat Khunou in Kamjong district.

According to PRO IGAR (S), the initiative aims to empower local villagers by providing a dedicated space for trade, commerce and self-employment activities.

The inauguration was marked by enthusiastic participation from the local community with village headman leading the ceremony in the presence of the local pastor, village secretary and other village authorities.

The PRO further informed that a community hall constructed by Assam Rifles at Gelbung village in Churachandpur district was handed over to the locals on Monday .

The community hall will serve as a central space for social, cultural and educational activities, benefiting the local population.

The inauguration was attended by Assam Rifles officials, village elders and local residents, who expressed their gratitude for the force's continuous support, the PRO conveyed.
