KCP launches anti-tobacco drive

Imphal, July 08 2025: The armed Kangleipak Communist Party-Apunba (KCP-Apunba) expressed gratitude to clubs, Meira Paibi groups and individuals for supporting outfit's special drive against import and sale of hazardous tobacco products in Kangleipak (Manipur).

According to a statement of KCP-Apunba, the outfit announced permanent ban on import and sale of tobacco products which came into effect from July 6.Accordingly, the outfit along with clubs, Meira Paibis and individuals launched special drive from July 7 and recovered tobacco products from some areas with seized consignments destroyed by setting on fire.

The outfit appealed to all concerned to continue supporting the special drive.
