CRPF vows safeguard of villagers, plants saplings

Imphal, August 05 2025:
F/169 Battalion CRPF stationed in Chanung area under Imphal East district, conducted an interaction programme with the locals to strengthen the bond between the Force and the local community, at Chanung village on Monday evening.
In his address, Battalion commandant Suresh Kumar said his troops are always concerned for the safety of the villagers and continuous efforts are being made to foster good will and build stronger relationships with the local communities.
While expressing gratitude to the Battalion for providing a sense of security in the area, the villagers also lauded the troops for performing duty with high discipline in safeguarding the village during the paddy plantation season.
Sweets, chocolates, juices, refreshments, etc., were also distributed to the villagers as part of the programme.
Battalion's second-in-command Md Yaseer Abbasi and assistant commandant Jitendra Kumar were also present during the interaction programme among others.
On the other hand, 109 Battalion CRPF organised a tree plantation drive on Tuesday at Ayushman Hospital complex at Mongsangei, during which officers and personnel of the Battalion along with members of Patanjali and Ayushman planted 250 saplings.
The event concluded with a renewed pledge to continue efforts toward ecological preservation and collaborative development.
