RIMS conducts health camps for elderlies

Imphal, May 02 2025:
Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, on Friday organised two free health camps dedicated to the well-being of senior citizens.
The camps were held at Senior Citizen Home, Kongba Nandeibam Leikai, Imphal East, and Langol Old Age Home, Imphal West as part of the Swachhta Action Plan 2025-26 .
A team of doctors and specialists from the departments of clinical psychology, general medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PMR), and ENT provided free consultations, treatment, and counselling service to the elderly residents.

The initiative aims to address both physical and mental health needs of the senior population and to promote active aging through early diagnosis and timely medical care, said a RIMs Media Cell release, adding that total of 34 senior citizens benefited from the health camps.
These health camps are part of RIMS' ongoing commitment to community outreach and inclusive healthcare, ensuring that vulnerable and underserved populations receive adequate medical support, according to the Media Cell.
