86 Bn CRPF, Forest Dept plant saplings

Imphal, July 01 2025: The Forest Department, in collaboration with 86 Bn CRPF, launched the 76th Van Mahotsav, 2025 with a mass tree plantation drive at Pidoinu Laiphamlen, Pungdongbam, and Khamenlok-Gwaltabi reserved forests.

The plantation drive was launched in the presence of principal chief conservator, of forests Anurag Bajpai as chief guest, Miss Shirui Lily 2025 Esme Singh Shaiza and 1st runner-up Disti Athokpam Devi (Brand Ambassadors of Van Mahotsav 2025), CF/ Central Circle RK Amarjit Singh, conservators of forests Sanajaoba Khuraijam and Debala, 86 Bn CRPF deputy commandant Kiyam Rajiv, and Lamlai SDPO Th Dinesh.

As part of the initiative, over 1000 saplings were planted by CRPF personnel, forest department staff, police officers, school students, and local residents.

The plantation drive emphasised the importance of ecological restoration and public participation in environmental protection.

Further, A/86 CRPF, Noney along with forest department, district administration and civil police participated in the 76th Van Mahotsav 2025, under the theme 'plant for mother' at Khumji 3, Noney during which over 200 tree saplings were planted with active participation from the local public and the school children.
