KCP declares 3 cadres as deserters

Imphal, August 20 2025: The proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) declared three cadres of the outfit as deserters and appealed to the public not to entertain any monetary demand from them.

According to a KCP statement, three cadres of the organisation namely, Soibam Phireppa alias Bargil (23), son of S Birchandra of Irom Meijrao Mayai Leikai; Pukhrambam Tomthin alias Naoton (25), son of P Bukulchandra of Ningthoukhong Mayai Leikai, Ward No 9; and Khumanthem Chinglai alias Umakanta (36) of Laipham, Monbung, Jiribam deserted recently.

The trio had joined a gang involved in extortion from the public in the name of KCP, the statement said and appealed to the public to inform the organisation and its armed wing Miyamgi Fingang Lanmi (MFL).

The KCP also informed the public that old letterhead of finance department of the organisation will no longer be valid and a new letterhead will be used with immediate effect.
