Birth anniversary of Maharaj Birbikram observed

The 117th birth anniversary of the architect of modern Tripura, Maharaj Birbikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur was observed in Agartala, Tripura on Tuesday.
The observance organised by Department of Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA), was attended by Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha as chief guest in the presence of minister Sukla Charan Noatia, Lok Sabha MP Kriti Devi Debbarman, Agartala Municipal Corporation mayor Depak Majumder, and eminent educationist Jagadish Gan Chowdhury.
The observance was marked by paying of floral tributes to the photo of Maharaj Birbikram.
Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), Tripura Chapter also observed the 117th birth anniversary of Maharaj Birbikram at Agartala Manikya Enclave on Monday, which was attended by 'rajmata' Bibhu Kumari Devi, Tripura royal family head Pradyut Kishore Debbarman, NE Region postmaster general Joseph Latin Saliva, MP Kriti Debbarman, and INTACH Tripura Chapter convener maharajkumari Pragya Debbarman, among others.
As part of the observance, a photo exhibition on Tripura royalty was also held.
