Unrelated with 4 arrested: KCP-Taibanganba

The armed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP)-Taibanganba clarified that the organisation js unrelated with four individuals arrested by security forces from Langthabal Khunou under Khongjom police station in Thoubal district.
According to a KCP Taibanganba statement issued by publicity secretary Khongnangthaba Meetei, Manipur police department issued a statement on August 14 regarding the arrest of four individuals as cadres of the party.
The arrested individuals namely Kongjengbam Babita (45) of Kodompokpi Mamang Leikai, Lisham Premika Devi (33) of Khongman zone-2, Nandeibam Noni Devi (53) of Khongman Atom Leikai and Heikham Ravi Meitei (38) of Chirang Mayai Leikai, however, are unrelated with the party in any manner, the KCP statement said and termed the claim of Manipur police as baseless and unfounded.
The statement further said that the party is able to identify a gang threatening public and extorting money in the name of KCP-Taibanganba with Manipur police taking advantage of emergence of the gang in continuing their old habit of branding civilians arrested as party cadres.
