Imphal, July 17 2025: Civil Engineering Division of Institution of Engineers (India), Manipur State Centre felicitated engineer Takhellambam Sushanta Singh of Sega Road Takhellambam Leikai on his promotion as joint general manager and head (Structural Steel), EDRC- Larsen and Toubro Construction B&F.In a release, Institution of Engineers India, Manipur said that the felicitation programme was conducted to recognise the contribution of a Manipuri engineer towards nation building and the world.

Engineer Sushanta started his journey after completing Bachelor in Engineering in Civil Engineering and Master in Engineering in Structural Engineering from MS University of Baroda.

He has experiences as a structural engineer in constructing various eminent structures in India and abroad, including Preheater Tower & Cement Mill at Lafarge Surma Cement Plant, Bangladesh; structural lead for 100K capacity car production at Honda Siel Cars India Ltd., Noida; Design of Paint Shop Building at Maruti Udyog Ltd., IMT Manesar; structural design head for ATC Tower Structural Design and terminal building structural design related works at Bangalore & Mumbai international airports; lead structural engineer for ITC Twin Towers in Colombo, Sri Lanka; and lead engineer for construction of Oman Botanical Garden, Muscat.

Sushanta is one among many engineers from Manipur contributing towards nation and global building, the release said, adding that the programme was sponsored by Pisatao Constructions, Khurai Thoidingjam Leikai.
