Fashion Designing Academy inaugurated

Thoubal, August 13 2025: Khangabok MLA O Surjakumar on Wednesday inaugurated the Daylark Academy of Fashion Designing at Thoubal Okram.

The function was attended by MLA Surjakumar, Thoubal District Chamber of Commerce president Dr N Sharat and AISECT, Thoubal managing director Ak Biswajit as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

In his address, MLA Surjakumar expressed hope that the new academy would benefit unemployed youth and those passionate about fashion designing.

Delivering the keynote address, Takhellambam Abhijit said the academy will initially offer a six-month course covering subjects such as fashion illustration, art of designing, engraving and apparel garment construction.

He added that workshops on fashion and design will also be organised periodically.
