Two more held in Leo stabbing case

Imphal, July 11 2025: Police on Friday arrested two more individuals in connection with the death of Meitei Salai Thiyam alias Leo, bringing the total number of arrests made in the case to four.

The two arrested persons are Lamabam Taibanganbi (27), s/o (L) Amuchou Singh of Nagamapal Kangjabi Machin, and Yumlembam Kelvin Singh, (23) s/o Allen from near Advanced Hospital, Palace Compound.

Both Taibanganbi and Kelvin were with Thiyam at Thanga Khunjem when he was stabbed.

According to a police report, Keibul police station registered a case in connection with the death and the duo was arrested on Friday.

They were produced before the court of CJM Bishnupur, which remanded both to police custody till July 14.It may be recounted that the main accused in the case, Loitongbam Pinky Devi (20), d/o (L) Nilamani of Kwakeithel Konjeng Leikai, along with her male companion Leishangthem Lanchenba Singh (20), s/o (L) Loken of Hiyangthang Makha Leikai, are in police custody for questioning.
