TDK's OPD gets new portico

Thoubal, May 09 2025: The "Patient/Public Portico" at Thoubal District Hospital, constructed under the MP Local Area Development Scheme (MP-LADS) of Outer Manipur MP Alfred Kanngam S Arthur, was on Friday inaugurated by Thoubal DC Ahanthem Subash.

During the inauguration, DC Subash stated to address the limited space at the hospital s OPD block, a request was made to MP Alfred for financial support under the MP-LADS, which was approved.

The new facility is expected to significantly ease the challenges faced by patients visiting the OPD, he said.

The inauguration function was also attended by Thoubal ADM B Lokeshwor Sharma, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Thoubal executive engineer Ng Somendro and Thoubal district hospital medical superintendent Dr W Ruhinikumar among others.
