Agri Department distributes 93,472 bags of urea

Imphal, June 27 2025: Department of Agriculture has reportedly distributed 93,472 bags of neem-coated urea at subsidised rate of Rs 270 per bag in 54 locations across the 16 districts in a special campaign carried out from June 16 till Wednesday.

In a release, agriculture director Peter Salam informed that the Department also organised special camps in three locations to distribute urea and paddy seeds for fringe areas affected by the law and order situation.

The Department will continue to distribute urea at the offices of district agriculture officers and organise special camps to cover areas not covered during the said special campaign.

Informing that dates and Ideations of the special camps will be notified soon, it advised all farmers and farmer groups/associations to support the Department in its effort to ensure availability of urea to every farmer in the state.
