Training on 'Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi' begins

Jiribam, August 17 2025: A three-day training programme on 'Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi' Round-2 for Anganwadi workers of Jiribam commenced at Chihgdong Leikai multipurpose hall, here, on Saturday.

The programme was organised by ICDS Project, Jiribam, un der the department of social welfare and aegis of Jiribam district administration.

The training aims to promote awareness among Anganwadi workers on various aspects of nutritious food and pre-school education for children under six years.

During the three-day sessions, Anganwadi workers will receive training from ICDS supervisors Gangabati Adhikarimayum, Ningthoujam Melory, Kh Chandrika Devi and Th Anganbala, under the overall supervision of ICDS Project CDPO Jiribam, Chongtham Umila Devi.

The topics shall cover necessity of nutrition and early childhood education, understanding the aspirations of children, domains of development, creating a safe and secure environment for children, role of parents and the community in child development, importance of age-specific complementary feeding with appropriate consistency and food diversity, and Anganwadi protocols for 'Divyang' children, among others.

Altogether, 100 Anganwadi workers from various centres in Jiribam are participating in the training programme.
