AR marks Mother's Day with outreach events

Imphal, May 12 2025: Assam Rifles celebrated Mother's Day with a series of events across Tengnoupal, Kakching, Chandel and Churachandpur districts.

The celebration programmes included motivational seminars, awareness campaigns, presentation of gifts, traditional fashion show, recreational events, plantation of tree saplings and poster drives celebrating the role of mothers in society, besides conduct of medical camps.

The celebrations were held at Sehlon, Aivomjang, Joupi and Khongjol viUages in Chandel district; Company Operating Base in Thoubal district; Mission Veng in Tengnoupal district; Angangclung Eco Park and Serou in Kakching district; and T Bethlehem relief camp in Churachandpur district.

Meanwhile, Heirok Apun-ba Club, in collaboration with 46 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector, Kakching Lamkhai organised Mother's Day celebration along with a free health camp at HESU Club in Heirok Part II, Thoubal, on Monday.

A total of 745 people benefited from the free health camp, where eight doctors from various specialties provided medical consultations.

Heirok MLA Th Radheshyam also visited the health camp and underwent a medical check-up.

A two-minute silence was observed as a mark Qf respect for those who lost their lives in the recent India- Pakistan conflict and the ongoing crisis in Manipur.
