4th Anniversary of Ministry of Cooperation observed

In commemoration of the 4th Anniversary Week of the Ministry of Cooperation, National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), Regional Office, Guwahati (Assam) organised a series of activities during the first week of July, 2025.As per a release, a workshop on Ministry of Cooperation initiatives, including presentations on NCDC schemes, assistance models, and success stories was held at the Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Guwahati, during which members and leaders of the cooperative sector and other stakeholders, held discussions on how cooperatives can play a larger role in bringing about sustainable and inclusive growth.
The Regional Office also conducted a tree plantation drive in the premises of Barkhat Panbari GPSS Ltd, Sonapur, Kamrup and Dekhial GPSS Ltd, Khetri, Kamrup, Assam.
NCDC officials, led by the regional director, leaders and members of cooperative societies took part in planting the saplings to promote environmental consciousness and greener earth.
A lecture on the importance of the cooperative model and NCDC's contribution to development was delivered at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh.
The session aimed at creating awareness on cooperative principles and values and cooperative business model among the young minds, to enable them to appreciate and engage with the cooperative sector as a means for sustainable and inclusive growth, elaborated the release.
