SP commends youths for saving girl from drowning

Churachandpur, August 05 2025: Churachandpur superintendent of police (SP) Prakhar Pandey on Monday met three brave young men - Joseph Lalrenruot, David Lalrochang, and Lalpeksang - who sayed the life of a young girl, Cindy Lalneitha, from drowning in the Khuga River on August 1.During a brief meeting in his office chamber, the SP commended the young men for their extraordinary act of courage and compassion in rescuing the girl.

He further stated that their quick thinking and selfless bravery had not only saved a life but also inspired the entire district, including the police department.

He expressed hope that their example would encourage others across the district to uphold the spirit of community and care.

Also present at the meeting were HYA HQ president Timothy Zote, HYA Saikot Branch president Zonunsang Zote and additional SP (LO) Lawrence K Munluo.
