Training on integrative design approach underway

Imphal, July 01 2025: A two-day training programme on "Integrative Design Approach" kicked off on Tuesday at the seminar hall of Institute of Engineers, India (IEI) Manipur State Centre, located within the Government Polytechnic Campus, Takyel, Imphal.

The event is being jointly organised by Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL), IEI Manipur State Centre and Green Tree Global Consultant.

According to a statement from IEI Manipur State Centre, the training aims to enhance understanding and practical implementation of Energy Conservation & Sustainability Building Code (ECSBC), Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) and Eco Niwas Samhita (ENS), targeting professionals and stakeholders involved in sustainable construction and energy efficiency in the region.

MSPDCL managing director M Rabi, IEI Manipur State Centre chairman L Swa-mikanta, and Government Polytechnic College principal L Shamungou attended the inaugural function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

BEE certified ECBC master trainer Ragini Goswami also took part in the event.

Speakers at the event underscored the importance of integrative design practices and the promotion of energy-efficient building systems in the state.

On day first, the training witnessed technical sessions and workshops aimed at equipping participants with tools and knowledge for implementing energy codes and sustainability measures in building practices.
